AI Transparency Policy
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a dominant and important part of our everyday lives. For small business owners who wear many hats, AI has the potential to provide more life balance, reduce costs, and create unprecedented growth opportunities by providing support that previously may not have been financially viable or attainable.
Unfortunately, as with all new technology, with the good comes the bad. It is now easier than ever to create content and digital products that harm creative communities who have spent years mastering their craft. It is also flooding our world with generic, lookalike, and copycat products and services. We also believe that AI is one of the biggest risks to our business because it enables others to quickly and easily copy our products.
At Radio Chatter, we have decided to take a clear stance on what we will and will not use AI for. The purpose of this policy is to transparently inform our customers and community where our boundaries are so you can be informed and make your own decisions about whether to buy from us, partner with us, or follow us on our journey.
Our Physical Games
Production images on physical products will never be made using AI-generated images. We will link on our product pages to the artist who designed the artwork for each product we sell.
We do use AI-generated images for prototype products. This allows us to create a final product feel without the full production cost and helps us demo products with users to get genuine feedback before investing in final graphic design.
We may use AI for game design assistance, such as idea generation for conversation starter questions and/or writing and editing game instructions. All AI output for these use cases is thoroughly reviewed to ensure it meets our expectations. For example, if our AI agent recommends a new conversation starter question that we would never enjoy using ourselves, we will not include it in our products.
Our Software / Apps
We use AI extensively for coding our mobile apps (often referred to as “Vibe Coding”). This code is also in our production apps. We believe this is an area where AI can truly advance us as a company, and we have chosen to take advantage of it. Our innovative use of this technology for non-customer-visible parts (the code), combined with human-curated app graphics that customers interact with, is what we believe sets us apart.
We will not use AI for production images or design on digital products sold. We will link on our product pages to the artist who designed the artwork for each product we sell.
We may use AI for game design assistance, such as idea generation or writing/editing game instructions.
Our Marketing (Social Media | Blog | Website | Marketing Material)
While our intent is to provide real content that is enjoyable for our community and accurately represents our products and values, we may occasionally use AI-generated images or videos to create attention-grabbing content for entertainment purposes on social media.
Having a real voice is important. Our blog and website will remain written by humans, although we use AI for proofreading and to provide suggestions for readability. We take extra care in training our custom AI agent to not rewrite our blogs, avoiding generic or disingenuous content.
We have hand-created our base marketing material and outreach scripts and developed a custom AI agent that we use to write more customized outreach content based on this base material. This allows us to be genuine with our message while tailoring it to our audience, connecting our vision and values to theirs.
This Policy
This policy was handwritten in Microsoft OneNote and fed to our custom AI agent for proofreading. The words are 99.3% the same as before it was reviewed by the AI agent (according to the AI agent…).
For Reference
We use ChatGPT for our custom AI agent (aka custom GPT) that has been personally curated with our own content to assist us in running our operations.
We use Cursor and Claude as our AI tools for app development.
